Dr. Ginger Ambler has been named the interim Vice President for Student Affairs, to take over next fall after Sam Sadler's retirement this spring.
The decision was announced this afternoon in a meeting at which both Sadler and Ambler were present.
Ambler is currently the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and works closely alongside Sadler. During Sadler's recent recovery from surgery, Ambler took on many additional responsibilities in his absence.
Sadler said this afternoon that Ambler will probably fill the interim role for approximately the next year, until the search for a new College President is completed and a new President is installed. At that point, Ambler may decide to apply for the permanent position as Vice President for Student Affairs under the new President.
"They were looking for the right person," Sadler said, regarding the search for an interim VP. "And they found her."
