Love Colonial Williamsburg? Living in Brown just isn’t good enough? Two rising seniors have the opportunity to live right in Colonial Williamsburg on Nicholson Street. The roommates will act as ambassadors to Colonial Williamsburg and plan programs for students.
Even though the house blends right in with CW on the outside, inside it is up to date. The house has high-speed internet, cable and air-conditioning. Also, there is a bathtub (no more hall bathrooms!), a fireplace, a porch and an attic for storage. Heather Debby, a graduate who lived there last year, loved the house. “We could light candles! It was great!” she said.
However, the house did have its drawbacks. Heather said there were a few bug problems to deal with, and the house is about a 15 minute walk to Wren, sans bike. But the isolation allowed for a few good get-togethers on the porch and “it was a good transition to graduating because [she was] farther from friends and had to make more of an effort to see people.”
Juniors interested in living in Colonial Williamsburg next year need to turn in applications by Feb. 3. Students should apply in roommate pairs. For more information, go to the Student Affairs website.
