Proceeds from Sadlerpalooza, a variety show that will kick off at 8 p.m. today, 22 January at Kimball Theatre, will benefit the William and Mary International Service Trips, which include the Global Village Project, the Medical Relief Team and Project Mexico. The show will feature a variety of performances by various campus organizations in addition to an appearance by Vice President for Student Affairs Sam Sadler.
Over 200 people are involved in either performing at or organizing the event in hopes of raising $5,000 to $6,000 and selling out the approximate 400 seats in Kimball Theatre. The money earned from both ticket and t-shirt sells can be donated to a specific project or divided evenly among the three initiatives.
Groups to perform include the Gentlemen of the College, Reveille, Pointe Blank, Syndicate, Acousticore, the Accidentals, Improvisational Theatre, the William and Mary Appalachian String Band, the William and Mary Jugglers and others. In addition to performing, Sadler will also co-star in a comedic short film at the beginning of the show.
