The Tribe Men’s Basketball Team's struggles continued as they dropped their fourth straight game, this time falling 55-47 to James Madison in Harrisonburg.
Despite shooting only .292 from the field in the first half, the Tribe went into halftime tied, but in the second half the poor shooting caught up with them as the Dukes started to pull away.
The Dukes were led by guard Ray Barbosa, who played all 40 minutes for the Dukes and had a team high 19 points, including 3 from beyond the arch. Chris Cathlin added another 15 points for the Dukes, playing a lot of minutes after coming off the bench.
The one bright spot on the night for the Tribe was the play of freshman guard Edwin Offori Attah. He came off the bench to put up 21 points, including two threes in 29 minutes. He also had six rebounds and two assists. The Tribe shot .294 for the game, including a poor 2-16 from three-point range.
The Dukes improved their record to 3-9 on for season. The Tribe fell to 4-9 and are winless in CAA play. The Tribe will try to break out of their slump Saturday as they meet Drexel in Philadelphia.
