Tribe Loses Another Tough Game, This Time to Delaware

The Tribe fell short again in Saturday’s game against Delaware by a score of 69-59.

In what was a hard-fought game, the Blue Hens proved to be a second half team, coming back in the second half from a seven point deficit. Delaware shot an outstanding .577 in the second half, knocking down 15 of 26. The Tribe struggled, shooting a low .333, and went 0 for 7 from three point land.

Delaware’s Harding Nana and Andrew Washington combined for 49 of the Blue Hens’ 69 points, scoring 25 and 24 points respectively. Laimis Kisielius was the leading scorer for the Tribe, contributing 14 points.

The loss drops the Tribe to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in the CAA while boosting Delaware to 5-9 overall and 2-1 in the CAA.

William and Mary is on the road for their next two games, facing off against JMU and Drexel, before returning back home to play UNC-Wilmington.
